Employees and physicians turned out to walk the red carpet for the second annual “Red Carpet Event” on the evening of January 23 in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg. The star-studded, one-of-a-kind event honored those who go above and beyond every day to show they C.A.R.E.
This awards event, modeled after the classic Academy Awards show, honored several categories of awards given to Forrest General Hospital employees. Employees honored during the evening’s event included We C.A.R.E. Award Recipients, honored for upholding the hospital’s We C.A.R.E. philosophy; Service Award recipients, who were recognized for years of service to the organization and Nurses of the Year.
The event also publicly honored the hospital’s Employee of the Year Marilyn Laird. Also honored were the four winners of the 6th Annual Philip Rogers Quality Award.
Guest Speaker Mayor Johnny DuPree, local celebrity emcee Randy Swan of WDAM-TV and outstanding regional talents were all featured during the Red Carpet Event
